AUGH, yeah I know what you mean T_T
It's SO difficult for me to draw men, and when I do, they usually end up looking like a gorilla-Arnold Schwarzenegger OR really scrawny and girly. Now with my charas I'm kinda getting the hang of it though.
I like making my guys kinda lanky and sometimes girly if you will, but if I made Alex like that it wouldn't be a guy anymore
So there ya have a challenge drawing a guy that wouldn't be really manly as a dude, but not too girly in a dress XD So I just added some masculine features like the nose and smaller 'rectangle'-eyes and stuff. (whereas Sally has more 'elegant' features eventhough he's very much a guy)
